CHARLOTTE, N.C., February 10, 2015 – UTC Aerospace Systems and MICROOLED have entered into an agreement designating Sensors Unlimited as the sole U.S. sales representative for MICROOLED imaging products to customers in the defense, security, law enforcement and sports optics segments. UTC Aerospace Systems is a unit of United Technologies Corp. (NYSE:UTX).
“Sensors Unlimited can now provide cutting-edge micro displays to complement our world-leading image sensors. With this agreement we continue to expand our ability to provide complete solutions to customers in the portable imaging segment,” said John Trezza, Vice President and General Manager of UTC Aerospace Systems’ Force Protection business.
MICROOLED displays are well-known in the defense, civil and consumer markets. The high-definition, low power OLED (organic light-emitting diode) microdisplays now offered by Sensors Unlimited produce excellent quality images even in low light, and use significantly less energy than equivalent displays.
A key factor for MICROOLED in choosing to partner with Sensors Unlimited is the company’s leadership in imaging component sales and integration for the target segments. “Through their family of image sensing cameras for the military and defense industries, Sensors Unlimited has developed strong relationships among key end-users that will enhance and support the MICROOLED customer base across the U.S.,” said Eric Marcellin-Dibon, MICROOLED cofounder and CEO.
