SWIRConOps.com is a restricted website dedicated to sharing the latest short wave infrared (SWIR) Concepts of Operation (ConOps) with the US military and its US citizen prime contractors. Sensors Unlimited, Inc. introduced the world to the concept of seeing in the short wave IR spectrum with simple, compact, uncooled imagers. Now part of UTC Aerospace Systems, we continue to advance the technology of Indium Gallium Arsenide (InGaAs) for both industrial and military applications.

Our technology has significant military applications, and many of our products are restricted under the International Traffic In Arms Regulations (ITAR) which controls the export of military equipment for the United States. Since SWIR technology is so new, there are many within the defense community who are not familiar with how this technology can benefit the warfighter. SWIRConOps.com strives to educate system engineers and end users about the potential advantages of using short wave IR technology for military ConOps. In order to protect these ConOps, this site is restricted to US government and military employees and US citizen prime contractor personnel only.
